The SHUNT42V100W can be inserted between the DC power supply and the SmartMotor to monitor the power voltage. If the voltage exceeds the threshold, the shunt gates on to clamp the voltage to safe level.
This is designed for the 42V supplies but it can also be used for 24V supplies.
